. . . . Can anybody offer any encouragements, discouragements, warnings, cautions, better ideas, . . . comments, thoughts, etc., about the Carvin MB210?
My particular application(s): I play an upright guitarrón (UG) which is acoustic, and also an electric upright guitarrón (EUG), which has a solid body. I play them in the one-finger style of a double bass, not at all like a bass guitar, and I'm always trying to color my sound as much toward a DB sound as possible. I play them both through either a Fishman Bass preamp or a Headway EBD-1 preamp on into a combo. The Carvin MB210 has interested me for a long time now because of: (1) the versatility of its head to help color the sound toward a DB as much as possible; (2) its light weight; and (3) its price. And just this last weekend I played my EUG through someone else's MB210 that was already on stage and it sounded great. (Didn't have a chance to check the amp settings, though.)
But I'm wondering why the frequency response starts at 65 Hz. The E1 string vibs at 42 and what about the BG guys who have B0 strings?
Any comments would be appreciated before I pull the trigger and buy one of these. Thanks, guys, in advance.
