Very newbie question, but I need it answered.

Well, I have this Electro Harmonix BassBalls efffect(American) and I want to use it with my bass. I know this may sound really dumb, but what cable(s) do I need to plug it into my amp? I bought it in Poland when I was there, but it's battery runned, so it shouldn't be a problem, right? I don't know much about effects, sorry. But I'm learning!


Please spare me the shame.

P.S. I like the Gremlin sound in it, lol

You just use an instrument cable. A second cable just like the one you used to plug your bass directly into your amp.

Yep, thats about it. Plug your bass into the hole marked Input and then run another instrument cable from the hole marked output to your amp. Just run it into the same hole you normally plug your bass into.

Stomp on the button, light comes on, gremlin starts talking. Easy

wow, in all seriousness, that's actually a pretty good question. It's so obvious to a regular user it's probably not on any FAQs ANYWHERE, but I can see why it would be confusing to a noob.

I agree, no dumb questions, as long as they're sincere. I've been playing since '74, and have learned much in the year or so I've been on this site. Strange, I only became interested in "gear", after joining TB. Before that, I was only interested in playing.

Just make sure the 9v battery you are going to use actually works. If not, you can always buy a battery adapter that matches the same voltage.

I also would like to "2nd" that honest and noble comment: TalkBass is an absolutely priceless resource, and has been very beneficial personally in a number of ways.. (including cheap entertainment!) .. go TB!!
