Very small preamps?

What very physically small preamps{with headphone jacks} are on the market? Aka half rackmount size

Bass POD? Not rack-mountable, but small with a headphone jack. In fact, I can't name any bass preamp in 1/2-rack configuration. . . Maybe a JoeMeek preamp, but no headphones.

Besides the obvious SansAmp .

You could also use any of these and get a small headphone amplifier.

These are pretty small, and have a headphone out, bunch of other features, too.

+1 to the Bass Buddy, but also it's important to ask what else you want this preamp to do? Do you just want a portable headphone practice amp? There are loads of those, such as the Cafe Walter, or modeling units like the Korg Pandora or Yamaha Magicstomp. Do you need it to have a DI output or drive a power amp, or both simultaneously? Do you want much tone shaping, or just a clean signal? And a big point, what's your budget? If you don't need EQ I highly recommend the Summit TD-100.

Yeah, it's a multi effects unit..with a headphone out, tuner, drum machine, and USB port if you want to record. For me, it's the perfect practice tool.

If I'm practicing band material, I hook the Zoom and Ipod into a mini mixer, then headphone out if needed.
