not my first choice of bass, but I think it's well constructed and relatively cool looking.

nowhere near as cool as a mojo'd sunburst P

but all the same, I wouldn't be ashamed to play it. most people in the audience probably couldn't tell there was anything different about it

headless
silver paint
hardware that looks like its been painted with a silver spray can
etc etc etc

but what one man finds ugly some people find sexy i love explorer shaped guitars and basses and some people find them ugly as sin its all down to personal prefference

Thats a basslab. Hollow composite. That one probably sits in at 6-7 lbs top.

As it is a set of 5 strings can get a little pricey. I see these 50 string basses and I think "What does a set of strings cost for that thing?"

Yep...Bass Player reviewed the Basslab a few years back. I'll have to look through my issues....oh wait....I have stuff to do other than look through all my old issues. If I remember correctly...it was pretty pricey!
