Hey everybody,

I am having an issue with my Fender VB4. I've had this bass for a few months now and when it was working fine it was a beast; I love it!

The bridge PUP was working fine and now isn't. Its not the batteries so I'm assuming its either the wiring, pan, or the PUP. There was no loud hum before this issue presented itself. This Friday I went to GC to get it checked out. The tech had already left so i plugged it in and Lo and behold my VB4 was working fine. I panned all the way to the bridge and it was fine. Then I panned to the neck and again it was fine. Then a few moments later that nasty his reared its ugly head and when I panned back to the bridge pickup my sound was "goneish" (barely audible with lots of crackling then nada).

Has anyone dealt with this kind of issue before and have a solution? If all else fails Ill bring it over to my local tech, but my issue is time. I need this bass fully functional at least by this friday night (its my only true jazz bass). Any solutions to the problem are appreciated
