Vinage Jazz vs Lull M4V

Last year I bought a '72 Fender Jazz from a TBer. It is a great bass with a great sound, but I'm finding that the beast is just heavy for gigging (over 11 lbs). I'm considering selling it but want something with that Jazz Bass sound.

How does the M4V compare? I may get up to a shop to try it and a Sadowsky out, but its a bit of a trek just for a bass demo, so I thought I'd get opinions here first.

Lulls are great and so are Sads. The best thing to do is try both out. Every bass by every maker is different. Both will for sure be lighter than the fender. The lull ( depending how it's optioned out) should be a little more "fenderesque."
