Vintage ampeg 8x10 and Mesa 400

I recently found a great deal on a 73' ampeg 8x10 cab. It is the flat back cab with the caster board. I have a Mesa bass 400 head that I will be using and I have a few questions.
First: Will the cab be able to handle the Mesa 400's power alright?
Second: A friend of mine has an ampeg 2x15. Would I be able to run both cabs (4 ohms each) with the head at 4 ohms as there is no 2 ohm output. I have read that with the Bass 400 you can use 2 4ohm cabs without a problem. Is that true?

First: Yes.

Second: Yes.

I've never run my 400 at 2-ohms. I've heard of people doing it though.

The main trouble with the 400 is that it's rated at about 150 watts. If you like OD, that's great. I put KT-88's in mine to bring it up to 300-ish for more clean volume.
