Vintage Ibanez 2366B

Picked up a vintage Ibanez bass guitar from a friend who knew I was a bass player. He wanted to get rid of it and gave it to me.:hyper: He said it was left in a house he bought about ten years ago. No serial number so I'm assuming pre-1975? Tobacco sunburst with tortise pick guard and rosewood fingerboard, complete with hardshell case. Looks like it hasn't been played in at least 20 years. Sounds great nonetheless. Has nicks and wear on the body and bridge is pitted. All other metal has a nice patena to it. Original bridge and pup covers are MIA. It looks like original covers are just standard issue Fender P-Bass items? It really just needs a good cleaning and new strings, otherwise it sounds great! I have a few questions to bounce off those in the know on this forum:

- What is the best way to clean this rig from top to bottom? Wood, metal, etc.
- Can a pitted, slightly rusted bridge be salvaged or should I just replace it? If I replace the bridge, what would be period correct?
- Is the guitar more valuable in restored condition or in its present "road worn" condition? They're only original once!
- I'm intending to hang on to it and have some fun but I'm curious as to its value.
- I'm attempting to upload pix but the upload keeps failing. I will keep trying.

Any suggestions or input is much appreciated!
