vintage svt question.

So I imagine people have come up with some creative cab solutions to get the classic SVT tone from portable, powerful little 4ohm cabs. you can bet i'll do a little research on TB about this, but, and this is for anyone, what are some of the 4ohm cabs that you've found to work well with your old SVT?

I guess I'd prefer a 15 or a 4x10.

I may have already posted this but I have two early 90's B-15T cabs with 4 ohm 150 watt 15" Eminence speakers in them, two on top of each other sounds great and can get pretty loud. You can get them cheap when you find them usually. Incidentally anyone who gets into a tech war with Psycho almost invariably ends up looking like an idiot because #1 he KNOWS what he's talking about, I found that out a few years ago, and because electronics is not really an exact science except on paper, people can twist others' words to make them sound the opposite of what they're trying to say, it's a waste of time and won't work with Psycho because of #1.

I have a Toyota Aygo... which is tiny. But my 8x10 fits, together with 2 basses, my suitcase and my SVT Head. Even an extra passenger fits.

Great! When you're ready to drop off a Toyota Ayoga to my residence, just let me know and I'll pm you with my address.

Seriously though, my 15 won't even fit in the trunk of my car, and I put down painters cloth tarps in the back seat so I don't mess up the leather interior when I have to take it to a gig. I have no idea what a Toyota Ayoga is, but I'm glad it works for you.

In all seriousness, your experience here would be more helpful than a blanket statement.

Sounds like Johnny A is referring to SS amps, in which case he would be right, sort of. It's not exactly half, but it's in the ballpark. Tube amps, however, not the case.
