I found some, hopefully no repeats:

- Blur (blurry guys)
- Matchbox 20 (number 20 on ground)

- The Roots (roots in sewer left of queen)
- Dinosaur Jr. (left of Queen)
- Beach Boys
- Radiohead
- Black Flag
- White Zombie
- Black Crows
- Hole
- Presidents of the United States of America
- Dead Kenedys (posters near zombie on left)
- yellow guy could represent Coldplay? -> song "Yellow"
- Blue Man Group (group on left of hitman near yellow guy. Blue behing the group, thus blue man group)
- Cornershop (crummy indie band?)
- Sex Pistols
- The Killers = hitmen??
- Eminem (spilled candy in foreground)

whew that hurt... there are still like 20 or 30 i cant identify.

and the doors

bunch of doors leaning ont eh side of teh building behind the dudes in white...

men at work...dude smashing pumpkins can be a double meaning thing..

i want to say blondie.. for that chick ont eh fire escape blowing bubble gum

Deep Purple - purple building "deep" in the picture

The BeeGee's - One "B" and two "G's" on the building beneath the U2

Mountain - large mountain in back

Great White - Shark in mirror behind the yellow man

Twisted Sister? - the two contortionist chicks in the middle???

Madonna - in poster on right

KISS - two girls kissing

Pink - the pink sky

The White Stripes - on pavement
There are a whole bunch more clues, but I can't get a good enough resolution on my monitor to see what they are.

That's not the entire picture. A good bit of the left has been cut off. heavy.com has the whole thing (plus a magnifying glass).

I'll leave out the four that are in the full pic, so I don't give them away (they're mostly obvious, though).

Crowded House (visible through the windows on the right rear building)

Pavement (so obvious, it's hard)

The Cranberries (at least, I think that's what the bags/crates are in front of the fruit stand)

The Go-Gos (girls in the back)

The Cult (people in white)

The Carpenters (on top of the building on the right)

Jane's Addiction (hanging out with the Cowboy Junkies)

Edit:

Just found 311, too. 11 shotguns in 3 bouquets of roses.
