Vocalists you feel epitomize rock n' roll

I heard this tune by a band called JET recently called "are you gonna be my girl" probably the best straight ahead rock n roll singer I've heard come along in recent memory. The guy had some meat behind his voice, mixed with a nice dose of attitude. The real deal seems to be fewer and further between these days. It just seems to get lost in the shuffle of Indie pop and screamo death metal.

"Epitomize" . . . that's interesting. So not my favorite, or even who I think are the BEST rock and roll singers, but those I feel EPITOMIZE rock and roll. Let me see . . .

#1 has to be Elvis.
#2 - Mick Jagger
#3 - Chuck Berry
#4 - Paul Rogers (okay, there's a little bias coming in with that one. But he's the epitome of what a rock and roll singer SHOULD be)

That may be true, but I wouldn't let that discredit Lemmy at all.

I was gonna say "well what if you ask Little Richard?" but chances are, he'd say Little Richard (and he'd be right), but I really think they are just different facets of R&R as a whole. It just depends on how you look at it. Both are key figureheads to the entire movement in its entirety.
