Volume balance

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right forum for this but figured it's kind of related to the pickups. Can someone give me an idea of how to balance the volume output of the strings? My low E is considerably louder than the other strings, especially when playing higher up on the neck. Is there a bass-mid-treb setting that would help or is it an issue with adjusting the pickup heights? I have and Ibanez ATK300 by the way.

Thanks,
Ho'okani

yup, string-to-string balance is all about the pickup height under each string. closer = louder, too close = boomy and clacky.
