Volume pot not working

This may be the shortest lived thread ever.

Just received a new Sandberg Electra VS4. The volume pot seems to only go from 5-10 at best. It never completely turns off. I opened up the controls and found this. That bare wire is supposed to be soldered to that first connector right?? There is solder on both ends. I assume it broke free in shipping. Should be an easy fix in the morning.

Update: that was the problem. I soldered the loose connection to that first lug and now it's perfect.

From a visual standpoint, it looks as though there's solder on the lug across from the ground point, as well.

Not going to hurt to confirm the connection with a schematic/wiring diagram, though.
