what volume pot would be adequate to pair with a obp1 preamp and it's 25k pots?

25k or 500k would be the preference, depending on whether or not there is an active/passive switch.

say if in the future i were to add a passive split coil precision pickup and a subsequent volume pot, that would also have to be 25k, yes?

and if i added a passive/active switch i would have to replace both volumes to 500k, right?

No, you would use 500k pots, before the preamp's input.
