Voodoo Lab power questions

I was planning on using a VL Mondo to power my PT3 and thought it would work using a combination of cables. Now I have two questions:

1: How much distance is between the splits on their Y cables if I want to use one port to power two pedals? Do they or anyone make extensions if the pedals aren't right next to each other?

2: I had the two 250mA taps left over and was going to power the Zoom MS-60B by combining them but the more I read, that would also double the voltage from 9 to 18V. Is there a way to get the extra amps but not the volts?

When combining outputs, the way the Y cable is wired (in series or parallel) will decide whether it combines current (leaving voltage the same) or combines voltage (leaving potential amperage at the max from just one output).
