VPN?

Yeah you just want to look for the setting that tells your software that you don't want it to process that particular website. I've never tried to run a VPN using talkbass so I don't know for sure. if it's something on their end I'm sure one of the mods will be able to help you figure it out.

When my VPN is enabled I’m blocked from Talkbass. Is that normal, or a glitch?
Same here. I actually use several sites that require logins that freak out when I try to access them using a VPN regardless of whether I use a location here in the U.S. or one in another country.

I've heard of that happening before. Sometimes sites that feature advertising restrict vpns because usually if you're running a VPN you're also heavily blocking ads too. And since sites that run ads I usually monetized they naturally don't want you to use anything that would keep track from their ability to serve up advertisements.

I kind of have a different view about advertisements than I used to. They've become horribly intrusive and in some cases actually blocking the content that the site is trying to put up. I mean, I get it it's a way for operators of websites to make some money and it cost a lot to get server hosting and other things like that and run a site especially a larger one.

That said, if it comes down to the point where the site owners are carrying more about pushing ads and making money than they are about providing content to their subscribers that's when I go looking somewhere else.

IMO advertising ruined radio it's also ruined TV and now it's ruining the internet 😭.
