I'm glad to see this thread is still alive. I was wondering how hard it would be to change the input resistance from 1meg to much, much higher on my Tech21 Oxford. I love this pedal's character(pun not intended), but I would also love for it to be much brighter and not lose bass(of which it has plenty),

The 1 meg can be increased, but that is not likely the cause of reduced brightness unless you are also noticing the loss in bypass/ off mode. Brightening up the tone will more likely be remedied with the complete Speaker Sim Bypass Mod or the Bite Mod (switch or knob available for both).

Had one done last year with an added DI & Ground Lift switch. Mike did a great job.

Havent read the whole thread but why not just get a used vt deluxe and save time and money?
