VT Bass speaker simulator.

Maybe it's a stupid question:
I have a VT bass v2 and i would remove 6dB per octave high roll off filter when a sim Cab is disengaged.
this problem can also be bypassed by putting After a vtbass an equalizer pedal and boosting of 6db the 4.5khz?
Thanks

Here is a quote from a Tech 21 post on page one of this thread: The filter can be easily bypassed on the V2 pedal but requires you to cut a trace in the circuit board. I would suggest calling Tech 21 for more information/specific directions.

You can send me a PM with your email address and I can send a photo of the mod.

And what about Bass Fly Rig?
It can be clanky or not depending on Bite switch, but I'd like to achieve more "air" of higher frequencies.
Can it be modded somehow to move speaker sim low pass filter higher?
Thanks!

There are no mods we offer nor do we recommend having any done as the integrity of the circuit would be compromised. With the Bite engaged and adjusting the High control you can't get enough high end? How are you using the unit?

Yes, usually I use Bite engaged and keep Highs flat, because turning them up only adds more clank, not high frequencies...
So I made a bunch of tests with Pink noise to show you what I mean.

First of all, unit bypassed. The most important thing I should mention here is that unit is not truly transparent, we can see slight (3db/oct) treble rolloff:

Just for test, I engaged Comp with tone maxxed, SansAmp disengaged. As we can see, Tone works almost like Tilt eq, dropping lows and boosting highs around 4k:

Then I turned Comp off, engaged SansAmp and tried to make it as flat as possible. So the settings are: Highs 12 o'clock, Mids 1, Lows 11, Character 12 and Drive 9.
Now we can see massive 12 db/oct high rolloff with -3 db point at 3k. It is called "tweeterless cab sim", I presume...

Once again, just for the test, I returned Comp back in chain. With Tone maxxed, we losind lows, get ~2.4k boost - clank - and still no highs as payoff:

Now, the real test. Comp off, Bite on. Actually, I'll post two images here, second with Highs maxxed (and Bite off) just because it looks almost the same...
What we get is ~2.2k peak, high rolloff -3db point shifted to ~4.2k and slight sub 40Hz cut in case of Bite.
OK, a little of REAL higs here, but with addition of CLANK peak

Let's try Bite and Higs maxxed =) Once again, higs rolloff shifted a bit more higher, but 18 db peak makes it almost unusable as bass pedal...

Okay, let's try to flatten this setting by maxxing lows... All right, it helped indeed, but with so much controls maxxed I found sound to be unpleasantly compressed, plus we still have highs been cut somewhere around 4k, so no real profit here:

So, after all, I still like how BFR sounds in the lower part of spectrum, however it is not ideal because there are some other pre-amps with more modern-opened (tweeter-like) highs. I just want not so vintage option with my beloved BFR package.
