VT Bass... with built in compression?

Trying to jive with my HX Stomp and replace a few analog pedals, but keep going back to my trusty VT Bass. What else is out there like the VT, but with built in compression? Besides the bass fly rig.

Plenty of dirty preamps with compression out there, but nothing that sounds like the VT Bass. If that's the flavour you desire, best to just pair it with a compressor! There is the Tech21 DP-3X, which is excellent but also rather different to the VT.

Turn up the gain? VTBD was super compressed at higher gain settings IIRC.
