VT Bass

I just picked up a VT Bass pedal on Ebay, but I forgot to check if it is the one that has the speaker defeat, and of course it doesn't. I want to use it sometimes with my amp (SWR Basic Black).

Did I make a mistake? Should I try again? (Haven't gotten it yet so haven't had a chance to try).

I own the VT Bass 2.0 pedal and never touch the bypass switch.
Sounds better with the speaker emulation on, IMO.
