VT Pedal Demo

Are the knobs on everyone's VT basses stuck? Did they ever even work? Is there ANYONE on youtube capable of setting their VT bass to something other than a heavily mid-scooped tone when shooting a demo?!?! Yes, yes, thank you, I see the that character and overdrive knobs can move back and forth and create lots of different sounds, but I'd like to hear something other than BASS 10!!! TREBLE 10!!! Mids 4....

That happens a lot because mid-scooped tones sound great on their own. Then, when they play with a band, they keep wondering why all of a sudden they completely disappear from the mix.

Yeah. And that doesn't happen to me, because my EQ is frowning, not smiling. And I practice like that, too. I am not at all interested in what the VT pedal sounds like scooped.

Ditto. My amp has a 10-band graphic, and it looks like a double-peaked mountain.

I have the same complaint about slapping. Its seems so many people like to show off their slap skills, but how many bands have the bassist slap 80% of the time? Not THAT much I assume.

I'll see if I can get some clips up for you some time. I have my VT pedal setup with bumped lows and mids, and slightly cut highs. Adjust the character and drive knob to taste for the song (I use it as a recording pre-amp rather than a stomp box).

These demos were for other pedals, but the clean samples have my VT on more flat, slightly mid-heavy settings.

You too huh? That setup works/sounds best to me anywhere I use it. car stereo, home stero, PA's and bass amps..... picture this on a multi band EQ -

I just pulled the trigger on the VT pedal and I'm not going for scooped or ver overdriven sounds. I want a little warmth and edge out of this unit.

I'll post some clips when I get it.

Thats the only thing this pedal doesn't do well imho..

Which I suspect is probably why we never see videos or soundclips of it.

It does however redeem itself by being excellent with a OD or fuzz in front of it. I get some nice tons going bass -BBM-VT-Amp.
