Nice boat. I played one like it, and the stairs were all too narrow for our gear. They gave us a piece of rope with a hook on it to hoist the gear up the side.

Wackiest "stage" you ever played on.....

The aft is under water.. it used to run but he ran it full throttle at high tide and beached it next to his BBQ restaurant. Now it's a party boat that goes nowhere. Had to lug all the gear up to the 3rd level(roof). the 1st level was restrooms and BBQ buffet, the 2nd was the bar and the 3rd was the dance area. From that picture it looks like its taken on water.. haven't been down there for a few years.. could be abandoned now.
Back in the 70's we used to play at an officers club that had a stage which consisted of about 5 small round platforms. One was just big enough for the drums and the other 4 just big enough to stand on with a mic. Not too much room to move around. It was like something out of a Partridge Family episode.
I once played a Halloween party on a stage that collapsed in the middle of the gig. The drummer was luckily on a supported corner, but our amps all tumbled into the collapsed center. Miraculously, they all remained on and working - we powered through and finished the gig.
That's exactly what I was thinking as I read through some of these. Somewhere along the line the conversation came up "Hey, I got a gig! It will be awesome!"
Played on a flat bed hay wagon last summer, which wasn't bad. A little wobbly when the band got rockin', and it wasn't sitting exactly level, so you could say we were off "pitch."
Played a bar on the Jersey shore a few years back where the stage was behind the bar. Spent the whole show looking at the bartenders backs. It was the smallest stage we ever played on--we were almost literally shoulder to shoulder.

I once played a Halloween Party in a dining room of an old house and the floor collapsed, everything stated swaying around and the floor sank 2-3 inches against the walls and 6-8 inches in the middle.
I've always hated flatbeds. Too narrow, I feel like if I step back I'll fall off. At a cornfield party, a guy drove up a flatbed, and I groaned, then another one showed up. They put them side by side, and nailed a plywood floor on. It was one of the better stages.
Played on one of those in a strip bar in Florida in the 70's. More of a shelf than a stage. I think the drummer could fit about half of his kit on it.
I auditioned for a band once where they had a dropped ceiling in a basement. Apprently everyone in the band (and the house) was less than 5 foot 9 - the height of the ceiling. I'm 6 foot 3. They popped a ceiling tile out, and I had to play with my head trapped in a 2 foot by 2 foot square. The band was good - kind of a Devo-esque thing. I didn't end up taking the gig - other reasons, but it would have been fun to try to figure out along term solution for reheasals.
I can't find the pic, but I played on a flatbed in a parade once. Got rained on in a freak thundershower. Luckily I did not get shocked.
There’s an event in Akron every summer called PorchRokr where they block off several streets and home owners let bands play on their porch. We’ve done it the past two years. Pretty cool!

I'd say a flatbed trailer (like they haul bulldozers with). The drummer moved wrong and fell off mid song
I played a show for a kennel... Stage was powered up by a fuel generator.
On the stage was tilted ... just a bit but enough to notice it and feeling weird on the stage.
Than the night kicked in and the humidity as well...
