if you really want a wah pedal i'd get one designed specifically for bass. i have a morley guitar wah that doesn't sound good at all when used with my bass. the sound clips i've heard of the dunlop 105Q model sound amazing!

I have tried MANY wah pedals, didn't like any of them usually for a minor but valid point. earthquake, snarling, morely (some of those were close) Ibanez, and of course the two flavors of Dunlop. Interesting, the 105q would be close if it had a way TO TURN IT OFF!!!!! (no backing off the pedal does not do that, there is tone sucked out when you keep it in the chain).
I have used Yontz's mod on a dunlop for years, I have no reason to push him cause I dont' get paid but it is hands down the best recipe yet. Basically, its true bypass and the filter voicing is different, a lot more like the slightly bassier setting of the 105q. Plenty of low end. He says he wants to find a way to incorporate a limiter, but my peaks are really not bad at all, and the sound is very useable for rhythm as well as leads. Here is a clip, I have been badgering him about making a page for it and he finally came around.

I'm interested in the Foxx, but for that price tag it'd better sound un-friggin-buhleebabbul. How's the volume function? I've read that some people hate it.

I've read that some people hate it.I own the Dunlop Crybaby and it adds a cool dimension in the higher frequencies. If you play heavy music, you won't notice it as much, unless you solo or use it in a soft part. But in other genres, where there is not a ton of distorted guitar, it adds a cool flavor. If you're into heavy music, add a Morley Power Wah coupled with a Distortion pedal. Listen to some earlier Chili Peppers stuff or some early Metallica and you can hear the difference between the two.

I got it for guitar originally but when I found out it worked for bass I stuck it in my pedal board. Great thing is, it's only £25! Downsides are that its plastic and has no true bypass. As long as you gentle with it, you wont get any problems. I think its great, check out my bands myspace, and I'm using it in our profile song>>>>you may not hear it but its in there!

i've owned the morley dual bass wah and dunlop 105q bass wah. neither really did it for me. they were both too suttle and didn't have enough "Wah" or tone for me. I'd love to try the EBS though.

You guys forgot an old vintage Wah that was just re-issued and let me tell you it is a BEAST! I have one....although they are very expensive...
