Wal Bass Club.

Out of curiosity, what would be an estimated opening price for a Wal Mk3 6-string from the shop? I mean before any customizations or premium additions.

The base price for each model is:

Mk1 4-string – from £5550
Mk2 4-string – from £5800
Mk2 5-string – from £6400
Mk3 4-string – from £5800
Mk3 5-string – from £6400
Mk3 6-string – from £6800 = $8976 currently

Base price on a Mk3 6-string – from £6800

the pound has been slowly dropping: 6,800 GBP =8,978.65USD

The base price for each model is:

Mk1 4-string – from £5550
Mk2 4-string – from £5800
Mk2 5-string – from £6400
Mk3 4-string – from £5800
Mk3 5-string – from £6400
Mk3 6-string – from £6800 = $8976 currently
Thank you! Always best to get an idea beforehand. For me, that's approximate $11,900 Canadian.

ok so that was quick!!! my 91 Shedua Mk2 MIDI is on hold.

Just to give perspective on the other two available both are case queens and in excellent condition:

Black PolyMk3:
Pricing for this particular Wal to get build today would be the following (options pricing could possibly be more)
Mk3: £5800
black gloss body: £550
black gloss neck: £350
ebony fretted neck: £195
gold hardware: £450
SIMS LEDS: £588 (not including shipping to and from Martin's shop)
Total: £7345

fretless Mk2:
Mk2: £5800
(will be "de-golding" it)

(prices above are before shipping and custom taxes)

Here are pics:
Black PolyMk3:

Fretless Mk2
2011 Wal Mk 2 Fretless MINT w/ case | vandowsky

so if you'd like to make an inquiry, please don't expect i'm going to take half off those prices.

How long did it take before you got the first progress photo? I'm having a hard time with the wait.

It was probably 9 or so months before I received a progress picture of the neck. That progress picture is in my post. It wasn’t so much a progress picture but more like a picture of 6 pieces of wood glued together.

The wait was brutal. I emailed so many times

3 Wals flying away in the past 2 weeks.....

I was doing some recording today, and decided to set Muriel down while i made a snack. Normally I'm a bit anus on the saying, which i made up. "If it aint in your hands it should be in its case" lol
Anyhu, i come back and the sun was at such a perfect angle it was creating this light halo around it. It was so bright it was reflecting light off the carpet. weird. Then got a "jailhouse" cool shot.Muriel has't been outside in years, and she was screaming to go out. lol

Im wanting an MKI again. I have owned 5 Wals and this one was one of the best sounding. Its an Australian Lacewood with a P.B serial number. I sold it to a good friend, and i know he is eyeing my '71 Jazz, so i may get it back.
This was my first Wal which i had shipped from Germany from a guy named Gregor Imbusch in 2007.
