actually its not clear....i believe its just the lighting and angle....but he posted pics of the bass a long while ago.....its been loved and played!! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

. . . So there you go! The "mint" in mint condition is of no value to me, personally. Simply, playing your heart out until your fingers don't want it anymore and your heart has had it's fill is.

Ohh I see. Perspective can kill. I was asking because I am thinking of creating some kind of ramp which also covers the pickups. I have some 3d printers and I thought it was time I used them for something bass related. I really don't want my pickups to get worn out like those you posted.

I thought, “Blimey, how do you do THAT to the pickups?” Then I saw the words “metal” and “pick”.

I think you’re right, v bright sunlight, camera angles and light glare off uneven surfaces.

Since you have a printer you can certainly make a ramp. but I've never created any such wear or even a mark on my pickups.

and there it is. 86 5er is off in a new home, and replaced with an 01 5er.
