Yup, stringers too wide, and spaced a tad further apart. And the back of the neck where it meets the heel is the wrong contour. Back of the neck shape looks very flat...like Status Graphite flat.
I know some different inlays have been spec'd, but that 12th fret spacing and leaving off the two 24th dots is too unbelievable for Pete to do.

A member posted it here some pages ago.

The Wal database which had been initiated by Stephan Koester is back in a revived version, the WAL dataBass on Link Removed. Submissions and edits, as well as image uploads, are processed regularly.

As written in previous posts, indeed the database is not complete, so let's work together, and if you own or spot a Wal that's not yet in the WAL dataBass, take some pictures and add the info.

This may have been answered before but does anyone roughly know what Wals volume of production is currently?
Like 60 basses a year? Maybe 80? More or less, any idea?

Judging by what I saw, and taking into consideration what NBD's we see posted: I say it's more like 38-45 per year.

And I'm sure this year will be quite low, as it seems he didn't have Phil working there a bunch during shut downs.

Yeah the fretted MK1 on the left and some other pics I've seen have me wavering on my woods choice while I'm in the order queue. I originally was set on walnut but later thought for that money I'd like to get something a little different as it seems a lot of Wals are walnut. I was thinking paduak (my wife likes the color, part of the key lol) but those maples are so nice.

I looked at the Wal database and found 71 that had walnut body, 45 maple and 10 paduak. When looking at just year 2000 and beyond, it was 9 walnuts / 12 maples / zero paduaks.

All that said I'll take one made out of scrap palette wood if it Electric Wood made it.
