Wal Bass Club.

Thanks Mike !
Paul answered with a mix of Whatsapp / Mail (very kind and detailed explanation).

I´m still deciding whether to ship it thru international postal system or courier (Fedex / DHL).
Anyway, will be this week. Can´t wait to make it sound properly again !!
I highly suggest using UPS for any international shipments, even pre-covid. My boards took an eternity and I had assumed they were lost. They thankfully showed up about 2 1/2 months after mailing via USPS priority mail. Good thing is, Paul stated if the boards are lost, they won't leave you high and dry.

had some things going on and forgot to drop this pic i got the other day here - teaser pic from Paul. hoping for a July ETA. it's been a long 46 months :nailbiting:

What's with all the "clubs" on TB lately. I guess I better start the Wal club here now so I can claim #1 for myself.

No objections? Thanks! Just what I need - more work! :)

If you wanna sign up you prolly better post yer piccies! :bassist:

as the fool who started the whole "Club" thing on here with the Fender MIA club (story behind that is there was a lot of hate over American made Fender, so I wanted guys to start taking pride in having a USA model, anyway...)

I want in... after 20 years of waiting, I finally have a Wal on it's way!

Question to those who have used the XLR jack successfully on their Wals.
How did you run the signal? Was there a need for Phantom power and is the output at Mic level instead of Line I guess? I've tried a couple of times at home with two or three of my Wals in the past and have had zero output.
I've even gone to the trouble of using a mic preamp, but I wasn't sure about using Phantom power or not.
Anyway, I'm thinking this connection should be easy and straightforward, so there's something I'm definitely doing wrong. Can anyone share how they made this connection successfully? Maybe I'm missing doing something inside of the control cavity of my Wal?
