Wal Bass Club.

Hello all - I have a 2000 Wal 5-string I bought from Steve Chesney thinking mid 2000's. Beautiful bass!!!! Lame thing is I have only played it out maybe five times since owning it. I am a four string guy. i have a real good collection of hard to fine lefty basses and kinda thinking it might be time to thin the herd about but so hard to figure out what to sell. The Wal is in great shape minus the cavity control plate does not sit flush on one corner and has a little defect on the corner. Also has two pea sized dings and hopefully the pics show these. Was real hard to capture them Was this way when bass was bought. Not sure what to ask for yet and gotta do more research but If I sell at this point and time I do not wanna ship. It's not a cheap bass from the little research I have done. i am in the San Francisco area. Comments or advice is much appreciated and hopefully pics do it justice.

frustrating for me that it’s a five string, I’m in the bay area as well and will snap it up immediately. You’re absolutely right, with those options in that condition you gonna be able to get top dollar. Do your research before you set a price.

beautiful Wal! Matching headstock cap and matching electronic cover are the best cosmetic options. Really lovely Wal! I’m sure you won’t have any issues finding a home for her :)

When a bass is coming through customs, will FedEx contact me to get my identification number /social security number? It’s been in customs in Memphis. I received an email saying it was delayed and the importer needs to update said number.... it also says not to respond to the message. Any information about this is greatly appreciated.

are you sure the gold hardware on the Schaller is plastic? I find that hard to believe for a German made product.

Yes all the "Lights" stuff now uses plastic button heads. I broke one.
But Schaller started using plastic button heads on the BM tuners for many years. I guess they figured it was successful enough that they changed the M4 and the M4S to also be Lights, since thats the way the bass industry seems to be going.

now I'm starting to think I'll do the Grovers ... those are USA made right? (please don't tell me China!)
