How is selling goods cheaper than everyone else harmful to the environment, anyone's mental health, or to the community? How is being the world's largest employer who is in the habit of paying a decent living wage (and more than minimum wage) harmful to the environment, anyone's mental health, or to the community?

And they were so noble, they were even going to allow the slave men to count as 3/5 of a man! Mighty white of them. There was nothing compelling, not even a little bit, and certain not "very" much so. Owning someone is wrong, plain and simple. No one at Walmart owns anyone. I'm living proof that you can opt out of a position at Walmart... I no longer work there. How many slaves do you think put in their 2-week notice and then went about their business? I never got the cat when I ran away from Walmart. And they didn't take my daughter away and sell her either.
You're comparing false claims about slavery to the factual realities of capitalism. Apples to apples please.
We're free to charge whatever rent we want to. THAT is why capitalism is an absolutely beautiful system. If you feel you're worth 5 bucks an hour, then you can get a job making that. If you feel you're worth more than that, you are free to refuse every single 5 dollar an hour job that is ever offered to you. In communism (seemingly your favorite tragically-devised and failure-destined economic system) you don't get to choose what you do for a living, nor do you get to decide what your time and skills are worth. Whether you're a janitor or an engineer, you make the same amount, and assets to mankind like creativity, work ethic, ambition, determination, etc are lost without the ability to reap the rewards of such characteristics. If you live an upright life with dignity and respect, you will take care of something whether you own it or not. I know plenty of people who don't take care of things they OWN. Your logic is fatally flawed.
What's the point of quoting something without mentioning a source? And I've gained a lot of wealth from giving to people. Wealth is more than money. And the idea that wealth is a purely selfish endeavor is off the mark.
