Walkabout DI

Hi Justin,

I posted this question on a couple of the main forums and it didn't get any traction. Thought you might have an opinion.

Do you think the Walkabout would make a viable DI for recording electric bass?

Figured that might be the case. Do you use a DI box for bass in the studio? If so, which one?

I use three, depending on the tone I'm going for: Tonecraft, Reddi, and Palmer. All are tube.

Could you shed some light as to what kind of tone each one gives you and in which scenario you decide to use them?

Have you tried other contenders like the Noble?

No on Noble. Tonecraft is the do-all. Sounds great on everything, even has some overdrive that can be useful as needed. Reddi is fat and vintage-y. Palmer is very mid-focused and forward. Another one I've used that I've been blown away by is the Millenia.
