Want to buy cab and head

I have a combo amp that does what I need it to do to jam in the basement and stuff like that but im looking for something with some more power that I can use in gigs and stuff.

I guess something that isnt all that bulky but can still put off some power.

I guess i should put a price range in. anything from $200-700 would be around my price range

i've been looking around for something like that for a while and it seems to me that your best choice would be something used. i've seen a bunch of gallienkruger half stacks, or peavey full stacks go for 500-700 on craigslist/ebay.

not a ton of power with one cab but plenty of room to upgrade later and decent bang for the buck. other than that scour the used market to stay in your price range.

I've heard that Peavey is good value for the money. My guitarist has an old Peavey rig. It gets ear-bleedingly loud if you turn it up.

I would look at GK or Peavey, maybe Avatar for the cab if you come across one used.
For GK, the Backline series of heads is pretty darned good for the price but the Backline series of cabs isn't so hot IMO/IME.

Ive been thinking about getting the peavey tour 700 head and a peavey tour 410 cab. I just need to find the right price and I guess it would be a good idea to get some money too : )
