Want to Replace a Big Split

I have a Fender American Standard P5 with a Nordie precision in the mid position and a Nordie big split in the bridge position. I have never been really happy with the Big Split. It is just a little too nasally for me. I am looking for a replacement. I am probably looking for more or a series humbucker sound. The bass is passive with VVT and 3-way pickup selector. I am hoping to keep it passive if I can find something that works. Keeping up with the P-pickup is good. I am looking forward to reading your responses. Thanks.

You do realise that considering replacing a Nordstrand pickup on TB is pretty much against the law ?

How about the FatStack or DC? They'd fit right in.

I talked to Moe at Nordstrand. He recommended the series version of the DC. He said the output would match the precision pickup and sound smoother overall.

can you install a parallel / series mini switch for bridge pup .. ? I have the big splits ... they have their own sound ... which is a good thing to me ... I'm all passive also .. V/T/V/T

as p/s sw, do you mean on the BSp? not working….

Nordstrand pups match certain Bartolini dimensions. So there's another option.

That is a common thing with those two pickups, having good unity gain between them. Maybe check out the new NYC sets availabel now. Click on dimensions for matching whether they'll fit. These are really punchy...
