It doesn't matter what brain you have. I once heard Charlie Haden use someone else's brain and it sounded just like Charlie Haden.

just anecdotally I worked for Charlie after being his student for a number of years in the mid 90's. I had is Vuillaume in my house for a month once while he was in Europe and a couple other times too. It sure was an amazing bass strung up with Golden Spirals and when I played it I sounded exactly like Charlie. ( uh no, not, nowhere near, nothing like, not even timbre, not nuthin, nope, not even playing the Charlie lines I had memorized, not even playing with my ring finger and snapping the E string. Nuthin like that total genius Charlie at all)
