Sooo... It's a few years later. I want to be able to trigger samples (loops or one-shot) and tap in the tempo, send that to the house, and feed a click to the drummer.
Is the JamMan Stereo still viable or is there something better/cheaper out there now?

A couple of years later you can now do it the other way around - have the software follow the drummer

Have you tried it? I wonder how reliable it is on the gig.
Of course, I'd have to buy Ableton Live to use it. Pretty cool stuff.

I haven't tried it yet. It's pretty new and time is flying.
But Drummers are frustrating and tempos are best when they follow a click.
It takes practice either way.
Put some triggers on acoustic drums to get a good clean drum only signal to it. Or better, have the drummer switch to edrums with a volume knob.
