wanted: A REAL GOOD CAB

Hello,
I have markbass head (littlemark 3), and I need a good cab. I prefer 410.
the only brands I can achieve are: hartke, Ashdown, Gallien Krueger, Peavey, Kustom, warwick, genz-benz, Roland, Trace Elliot, Ampeg, Markbass.
I need quality, reliable cab that can carry out giggs without damage the sound (on the high sound levels) BUT in reasonable price. thanks!

Hard to go past Bergantino cabs for Mark bass. I find the AE112 to be SUPERB match for the LMII & the AE410 would be great too. Also Mark Bass cabs are actually VERY good. They sound great in a band setting- they seem to 'SIT' in a mix really well. Many don't seem to like them much, but a lot of those ppl I reckon may not have tried the cabs in a band-onstage type setting. Both are using Neo dymium drivers too & so are liteweight. Other Berg cabs(not the AE range) are great too Altho are not neo's.

I've used alot in my day and I'd go for a Genz Benz Uber 410 over alll else.Will NOT be disapointed!!Then again most brands mentioned are all wicked anyway..

without a budget.. there are tons and tons of cabs that do not require you lugging a 4x10

At least try a Genz Benz NeoX212T. They've been around for awhile, aren't the latest and greatest thing, but I used one with a LMII at a blues jam a few weeks ago and thought it was one of the best sounding rigs I've heard in awhile, at least with a passive fretless Jazz w/dimarzio model J's - your bass and style of music may be totally different though. Close your eyes and try one, before automatically jumping on the 4x10 band wagon.

Based on your list, the best price/tone/weight value, and probably a very good match with the voicing of your LMII/III is the new GK Neo410 (4ohm version).

At 68 pounds, it isn't a featherweight, but these cabs are getting very good reviews.

If you go this route, make sure to get the 4ohm version, which will allow your LM to run full power into the cab, and make sure you use the correct cab input (since the GK heads have inputs for 'full range' operation with heads like the MB, and biamp operation for use with the GK700/1001/Fusion heads.

Price, weight, and voicing.... that would be my choice, again, based on your list.

I'm not a big fan of the front ported MB 410 model (very chewy and dark sounding), but I've heard good things about the smaller, rear ported model. That might be an option also with your LM.

Carvin's sound good, but I don't own any of their cabs. I use a Carvin amp with two Epifani 112's, it's a match made in heaven.

+1 re the 2 x AE112 Berg's. I s;pose a AE410 would have a li'l more high volume capability, but as far as portability....2 x AE112's are great, & they sound super with the LMII.
