I don't think you have to be a paid member to see it, just a paid member to post a sale in it.
Try the link I posted, should take you straight to it. If it doesn't I'd like to know. Cause you have to be a paid member to post a sale. But if you have to be a paid member to see it, then that limits the audience of potential customers for the paying members posting gear for sale.
Edited: I just used a different browser so I wouldn't be logged in at all, and I could still see the classifieds even the wanted posts. But I suspect you'll have to be paying member to post a wanted ad. This is the only wanted section I could see not logged in:

Not logged in as you can see in the upper right corner and it's still letting me see wanted ads. Of course it's not going to let me post an ad. And I suspect even logged in but not a paid member that it will not let you post a wanted ad either. Don't know what to tell ya.
And I'm not using a VPN. The entire site always wants to give me grief when I do

non-members can look at them. I'm looking at a Wanted ad for a Jazz Neck in FireFox, NOT logged in.
Did the same in Microsoft Edge.
But the poster is wanting to post a Wanted Ad, probably has to be a paying member to do that.

My membership recently expired so I’m not a supporting member and the “wanted” items are not visible to me currently. The double bass link you shared takes me to page saying there is an error. When I go to the classifieds and look for the various categories the wanted option is not one of them. I tried this from my iPhone using a DDG browser.

Doesn't really matter, the original poster is wanting to post a Wanted Ad, and I doubt it's going to let him do that without a paid subscription.
Agreed about the OP not being able to post without a membership. That seems like the policy on TB since forever.
What is weird is that I get this when I click on your link. I might ask an admin about it.

I received the same thing as monsterthompson when I tried to see the wanted ads recently.
I suppose the logic is that “a user must be a supporting member *to sell* on TB” not just *to post an ad* then it makes sense that you can only see wanted ads if you are a supporting member. Otherwise non-supporting members could *sell* on TB even if they couldn’t post an ad in the classifieds.
Maybe, but it's the only forum I belong to with that logic.
