Are you referring to the Warm Audio Pedal76? Walrus doesn't make a Pedal76.
I own the OE Cali76 Bass and wouldn't even think of looking at other Comp pedals if that helps.

Just for clarity- Walrus makes the Deep Six, which is a UA 1176 style comp.

As an aside Warm Audio makes my fave mic pres in the "relatively affordable" range, WA-73eq.

Old hat, this thread, but-
I have tried both the Cali76 and the Pedal76 (and the Diamond and others I don't remember), and the Pedal76 is the first compressor that in my hands doesn't sound awful- until this one I always ended up taking it out of the path after a short while. Now, that certainly says much more about me than about the pedals at hand, but I was able to use the Pedal76 much more subtly, for lack of a better description. The Pedal76 I can use to just make me "sound better" without ever getting the feeling of "playing against the compressor", and I'm probably going to keep it.
But- who am I really to say? I normally play a tube amp and don't use a compressor at all, I only ever use it if I play solid state backlines provided by a venue where I can't bring my own gear.
