Assembling a bass is extremely easy. Really. Everything is pre-routed and drilled for you, so it's just sticking parts into their places, and if you've got $1000 to spend on a bass, you probably know the basic parts of a bass.![]()
Not exactly. I've been putting a guitar together for a guitarist friend, and so far I've had to drill the pickguard holes, the jack plate holes, the tuner screw holes, the strap button holes, and the string tree holes. We're waiting on the pickups; that'll obviously require some soldering once they get here.
Sure is pretty, though, and certainly something you can't get from Fender.
