Warmoth build help

Ok, I've pretty much decided I'll be making a bass out of custom warmoth parts. It will be a fretless jazz bass.
I've never done anything like this. Can you guys double check my parts list and see if there's any other parts I need to build the entire bass?

I also have a few questions. Do I need to buy pickup covers and pickup screws if I'm buying the NJ4 pickups from Nordstrand? Is a string retainer necessary? Where can I buy neoprene padding for the pickups?

Do you think this would sounds good for a fretless? Alder body, flame maple top, wenge neck, ebony fingerboard, nordstrand nj4.

Mine's got the wood combo you described, and it's got a really nice fretless sound. Got it strung with half-rounds, might switch to nickel rounds later. Typically pickup covers are included by the manufacturer.
Yes, string retainers are necessary on fender style head stocks because they put downward pressure on the g and d strings and keep them taught. Without it you'd have tension issues and dead spots.
Bestbassgear.com sells all of the hardware and the padding you mentioned. I was gonna do a build like this myself, but I wound up finding my warmoth on Craigslist for cheap.

The string retainer is to make sure the G and D strings have good angle over the nut. It's recommended.

Might be worth it to get a 3-string Hipshot retainer, just to help pull down the A. Sometimes they buzz if you don't wind it just right.
