I've got one in the works, too. Same body, but w/ a 5A flamed maple top, in "blackburst", and is mated w/ the neck off my Geddy Lee jazz. Only thing so far I've noticed is it's been a PAIN threading the pup wiring for the neck pup through - it is getting caught in one of the channels! GRRRRR....

Tried that...but the trick is getting it through. Have tried getting a paper clip through and it seems to want to go into one of the routed channels. I'm thinking today I'll break out the vacuum and see if I can't suck a piece of thread through to get me started.
I'll give it a shot. The distance "required" is only an inch or two...at most. Boggles my mind how much time I've spent (sitting in front of the tube, mindlessly "aiming" for the "tube"). I'm horrendously short on cash right now, otherwise I'd likely farm the job off on my luthier to let him have the headache ( I know it can be done, as when he installed shielding he ran a ground wire from that cavity).

Tone is very warm and woody. Lots of mids. The hollow body really helps here. Still trying to dial in my amp, a Traynor YBA200-2. A very different and unique sounding Bass.
