Warmoth headstock logo options?

So...after building a Warmoth short scale and buying a G&L long scale (SB-2), I've decided that it's Warmoth for me. I don't enjoy the long scale and market options are nearly non-existent for contoured solid-body medium and short scale basses. Shame, really. Warmoth to the rescue! I like that I can build pretty much exactly what I like. No, it's not cheap - about the cost of a USA-made Fender, G&L, etc. But I get to choose everything about it. Something you just can't do with the competitors at that price point.

BUT...what to do about the headstock. Seems it needs *something* up there. No, I don't want a faux Fender logo. The Warmoth logo is cheesy to me - something sorta medieval + video game-ish (World of Warcraft/Warmoth?). Sorry Warmoth, love your stuff but your brand image could use some work. I can easily design and print my own waterslide decal, but then I'm faced with refinishing the headstock if I want a seamless, professional look (which I do).

Then I started thinking about a metal headstock badge. But I assume I would have to pay a fortune to have something like that made, right? And order a minimum quantity somewhere up in the ludicrous range?

Is anyone aware of a source for adhesive metal lettering in this small size? This might be just what I need.

Thanks, that's fantastic. I hadn't considered laser-cut sheetmetal. I'll have to check that out.

Sorry to add nothing of merit, but further to your point, up until like two months ago Warmoth DID make a gold metal foil decal of their logo. I didn't buy one and now I'm kicking myself. It looked really classy.

These logos are "electroformed" by companies like DT Metronic.

They have an office outside Chicago.

There are also a number of Chinese vendors who do this on Alibaba.

You can get laser printer decal paper and make whatever you want. There are tons of free fonts out there. I did the one in the pic that way.

There are also a bunch if people on eBay that do custom headstock logos. I got one recently that is the fender font, metallic silver, but custom text
