This one has 19mm spacing but I ordered with the wide neck back in 2000.

Actually, I do have the same question. I've written an e-mail to Warmoth, but still no response.
According to their info on Deluxe 5 necks, bodies and suggested TK5 bridges, Deluxe 5 Bass is designed for 17.5 mm (.669") string spacing at the bridge.
Anyhow, I'm personally confused in the following: fixed 17.5 mm (.669") on the one hand, according to specs,
but on the other hand,
- first, they suggest to select Leo Quann Badass Bass V bridge among the others (TK5, Hipshot A)
- second, they say that Deluxe 5 necks fits MIA Fender Deluxe V basses (that were before 2010, I guess).
In a word it's a 19 mm (.750") string spacing at the bridge.
Looks like both statements contradict each other.
Could anyone clarify this?
Then i asked. The 19mm spacing won’t work with our bodies and necks, the outer strings would be on the very edge of the fretboard.
Them.I thought 19MM string spacing would work on the Deluxe series considering my USA Jazz deluxe V (Which the warmoth deluxe V necks are the same size and direct replacements of the Fender Jazz deluxes) has 19MM string spaced bridge?
Which year deluxe 5, Fender has done at least 6 iterations, ours is an early ’00 model, and not compatible with the current Fender deluxe 5’s, the one we do is more similar to a music man. Good luck, it might be something we do in the future, but I’d say at least a couple years out as our R&D folks are pretty booked.
I have built several 5-string Warmoths with 19 mm string spacing without any problems. I can understand that they would not like to take any responsibility for that but as far as my experience allows to say it I think you can easily try a 19mm bridge. Well, a good choice is an adjustable bridge like Schaller or others which gives you more choices.
... I can understand that they would not like to take any responsibility for that...

Then why they do suggest an option to choose a Badass V bridge, that is 19 mm by definition.
As someone already said their suggestions include several contradictions. So you have to discover what works and what doesn't.
without any problems, you say... hmm, do you have any pics of them, just to see how does it look like?
I thought the Schaller 3d bridge only allowed up to 17.5MM max.
Any ideas of adjustable bridges with 18-19MM string spacing?

I have had no problems with pulling the strings off the neck. The G-strings feels and plays much better than the MM5.![]()
anyway, from your pics, strings G and B seems to be very close to the edges, as well as on that Deluxe 5P from lowfreqgeek
