I've had these Warmoth necks on a few things before . The Maple Warhead is 34" and the Ziricote Warhead is 32" med scale

The Ziricote is going on a Warmoth med sale J that is being done right now in Burgundy mist . It has a P route for a Sheptone p pup.
The Maple is going on a Alder P that arrives tomorrow ! I'm going to dye in Lemon yellow with black p/g and a Duncan SPB-1
I installed Luminlay on the Ziricote http://www.luminlay.com/

The Antiquity single coils have no problem picking up all strings and the string to string volume is just fine. She will be a fast player, I love this tight string spacing. The P-Bass neck ( 1 11/16ths") feels nice and thick front to back but oh so slick on the nut width.
Dinky Jazz
P-Bass neck, maple (slight flame) and ebony.
Antiquity pups...single coil

so I just placed an order for the beginning of warmoth #4 it's a chamberd body in all black korina and its going to be an 8 string!! :bassist:, im going to call nordstrand tomorrow to see if I can get a bigman pickup with a cover that's wide enuf to fill in the hole from the bridge jass pickup.
excuse the bad photoshop job on the neck I was messing around with mockups and saved it by accident but if I wer to make this a four string that's the neck I would use, the neck will have a similar piece of ebony but with better looking dots, If I bought that neck id have to fill them in with a sharpie or somthing

sorry if this is the wrong place to butt in, but would any of you fellas know how to date a warmoth build, or possiby find out any information about it's origins?

it's the one on the left, i can take more detailed photos if needed.

somtime last year i received this warmoth p in trade, and it has very quickly become a daily player. it was instrumental (pun intended) alongside another p in causing a mass exodus of basses... i sold almost everything that was not just like those two. anyway, i'd just like to know more about it.

That body is stunning. Was that in their gallery?

yup that was a showcase body, I have been thinking of building a modern looking jazz bass for a while, no pick guard, all black hardware/knobs so when I saw this one I knew it was time.
it will most likely get a few light coats of transparent black and maybe a little black fade around the edges with a high gloss finish.
the neck will be maple/bubinga with a mac ebony or ziricote fret board and a black korina headstock veneer if I can find the right piece of wood to go with the body.
