Hi guys! Has anyone installed the UNI-PRE 4 knob preamp in a Deluxe J? I want a contoured heel but i'm afraid that the cavity will not have enough space to fit both the preamp and batteries (I prefer 18V) ... Would appreciate and information! Thanks!

I just purchased a 30" neck to go with a warmoth short scale P-bass body I bought in September. The site indicates 2-5 week wait, but I'll post the build once I get it together.

I'm not a P/J fan, so this will be just the Geezer P pickup. Excited to finally get he neck, my wife got me a gift certificate for xmas.

I just realized I never posted here when I finished my warmoth build!

Neck is a wenge/wenge fretless jazz w/abalone side dots

Body is semi hollow swamp ash/ swamp ash.

Gotoh bridge and tuners.

Pickups are Seymour Duncan passive soapbars.

Controls are v/v/t, with the neck volume as a push-pull series-parallel switch, and the bridge volume as a push-pull passive diode clipper.

How have people found the chambered bodies? Are they more resonant? How's the attack and sustain on them? Any cons?

I love it. Slightly more resonant, mostly really light.

Here's mine..long story behind the body, basic was ripped off in a trade, here on TB, ended up with the body with a crappy brown stain and neck that had a headstock that looked like Swiss cheese..fast forward, decided to try my first stain-and-nitro finish..got a maple neck from Warmoth but was browsing the "in stock" section and ran across this "screamin deal" neck...just got done putting it on..

What brand of bridge is that? (Just kidding - both my basses have the same bridge and I'll never stop griping about the ugly and huge branding Brabicz slaps on their stuff.)
