WARNING PF 50t does NOT fit inside all Portaflex cabs!!!

If someone is wrong, they are wrong. If someone is right, they are right. The only thing Ampeg did that was wrong was to not be able to predict the future and know that 5 years after this cab came out that they would have a little tube amp or 2 that would fit inside it if they made a mod. They have been very generous to original owners of these cabs, offering to swap them out if they could prove they were original owners. What do you want? Blood?

At this point all I want is for ampeg to update their literature, website and add a disclaimer to their official product video so that they no longer mislead people.

I bought my pf50t new with the intent on saving a couple hundred by buying one of the several $200 cabs on my local craigslist. Had their promotional media been accurate I would have bought a new cab too and still felt good about the company.

The rep I got on the phone was a jerk(see earlier posts) and they still have bad info out there.

Three quarters of the bassists I know are not on TB and and many affected by this will never see this thread.

It shouldn’t be our job to warn ampeg’s customers...

So the guy at Ampeg was a jerk because he wouldn't swap out the cab you bought used, but you've been going on about this very angrily for over 2 years now, so I'm sure you were just as nice and sweet as you could be. And turning a 45 lb cab into a 65 lb cab is the very least attractive feature to begin with!

Ever see that little comment in all their product manuals that says, "Ampeg reserves the right to make changes to their products without notice"? Well, they did...years ago. Time to let it go.

It seems odd to me that we tend to stick up for manufacturers and retailers over fellow bass players here on TB. That's wrong.

The dude bought an OLD cab! He got exactly what he paid for - an old cab that was not designed to work with a NEW Ampeg product. *** do you expect Ampeg to do??
