Warwick bass from China or Germany?

Regarding the tone of the "double buck" set up. I haven't found any bass equipped with 2 MM style pup's to have anything except a mediocre tone (including music man basses). The best sounding/playing Warwicks i have ever played were C1rca 1998- 2000 Corvette actives. They were heavy, very dense almost, with a quite fat neck profile but the tone and playability was amazing, they had what i call an almost elastic quality to them. If the OP wants a real Warwick then that would be what i would go for, good luck!

My main is an Ibanez k5. I just got a rockbass corvette fretless and it exceeded my expectations. Whilst slightly heavier than the k5, the preamp has quite a bit of variability and the neck feels similar once my luthier straightened it out a bit. The strings feel pretty clear and a nice tone from the Warwick reds but I’m thinking will get the action lower abs replace the strings for a but more mwah and growl but I’d definitely recommend the rb. I’ve had much cheaper basses before (squier vintage fretless reissue four string and a no name string ray copy for starters) and the quality was way up there by comparison.
