i put it on today , works great for me .

i made a couple, the black one's made from delrin plastic ,
the blonde one is birch . the birch one would've worked ok ,
but i just didn't like having the pickupand body covered . i'll mill another black one for between the j- pickups this weekend.

if i find some very similar bubinga, maybe i'll someday replace these w/ that .

What are your ramps used for, just easier to post your thumb all over. been a player for 7 years and heard the term just haven't seen it or heard what it was for

i play fingerstyle, w/ 4 fingers ,plus the occasional thumb .
it allows me to conserve motion, and it's great for muting and rests .

i used to play mostly off the end of the fingerboard for this.
the ramp also gives me additional high position notes if i want
them . i'm a believer after seeing the gary willis videos on
    youtube .

how do you go about making a plastic ramp?

I want to make one for my corvette but I have no idea where to start.

I had an ebony ramp put in between the pups on my corvette, and I love it.
