I have a Warwick Corvette Standard with passive electronics and the hum from the stock MEC pickups is unbearable. Checking the simple things first or course, I tried I different power chord, checked for cold solder joints and completely shielded the control cavity but nothing helped. So, the next thing is to replace the pickups. Which pickups will make for a good & quite replacement? Also, for those who actually made this upgrade, was there any additional routing or retrofitting that needs to be done? I prefer to buy pickups that do not require any routing or retrofitting.
