Warwick Corvette standard vs. Corvette Proline?

As I've noticed many people are selling Warwick Corvette Prolines these days... I was wondering what the difference is besides the Prolines use Maple and the standards use bubinka(sp?) woods? Is there a difference in the sound at all? Is it heavier? Does it feel any different?

Proline is lighter
Proline will give you more tonal varieties

I much preferred the feel and neck on the proline compared to the standard. Just seemed an overall higher quality, better feeling instrument, IMO.

Dose some one nows why warwick is not selling any more corvettes proline?

I`ve owned both and preferred the Proline. As some have already said, it has more tonal variety and is lighter than the Corvette Std Bubinga (but a bit heavier than the Ash model).
I`ve owned a 95 model, which came with 3 piece maple neck and really liked it.

Since Corvette Std now come with active pickups too, I guess it makes no sense to label 2 different models, only based in woods choice.

I've had a couple Prolines and couple of Standards too. All of them had MEC active electronics. The Prolines were better, the tone jumped out, the weight was light. The Standards really turned me off to bubbinga.

I love my proline..but I"d trade it for a spector legend 4x (thunderbird)..only because I wanted that model since nikki sixx played them back in the day

Selling a '92 Warwick Corvette Proline. Upgraded to Bartolini pickups and I've upgraded the pre as well. Fantastic condition considering it's age, and its been played / signed by Victor Wooten (rear of headstock)
