Warwick Gnome Cabs

Dear people I have a Warwick gnome and I’m looking to buy a cab for home use, do any one were have feedback on the Warwick Gnome cabs sound and reliability?

The only feedback I have is from a YouTuber who had to faulty ones.

Also in my list is the tc bc208 and the a bit higher priced amped svt 210av.

Anyone using the Warwick ones? Pass?

I’m have a Gnome 2x8 that is 4Ohm and it sounds awesome. I’m not sure I’ll keep it since I have gone ampless for most shows, but it has a great sound and feels solid and well made.

When I had my Gnome, I intentionally chose the BC208 over the Gnome 2/8/4 because I felt like, with only 200 watts to work with, having the option to expand my speaker surface space was more important than always having all of its power available, so I never even bothered trying the Gnome (and I couldn’t justify the cost of the Elf), so I can’t compare the two, but the TCE cab works great, sounds good (not amazing, but surprisingly well for the price), and is extremely portable.

My biggest criticism is that the finish protects nothing: it felt like it collected dings every time I took it anywhere.

I play my 300w Gnome iPro head through a Warwick Gnome 300w 210 cab. The cab is built like a tank and has performed flawlessly for five years now. The sound is huge if a little “indistinct”(?) But that’s comparing it to my GK rig so being a bit unfair there. Overall VERY happy with the bang for buck of this cab (and amp). Hard to beat imo.

I haven’t used a Gnome 210 or 208 but I did have two single 110 speakers that sounded fantastic and were very portable. I also have a TC208 that is just a downright awesome little cab for the money and size, can cut it for small jams, cafe gigs etc but will run out of steam with loud band stuff. My other mini stack is a gnome 110 and an elf 110 which is a great complimentary pairing as the elf is a little more mid focused with the gnome having a deeper bottom end. Honestly I think you can go wrong with any of the mini cab offerings from TC TE or Warwick. I did also have an SVT210AV cab with the mini VR head, that was a great sounding rig as well but I found the cab sounded best when paired with that Ampeg head.
Here is a wee video I did for the Gnome series a few years ago.

Do you think a single Warwick gnome 110 8ohms sounds good for home practice or a tc bc208 would be better? Thank you for your help 😃
